Dear Green Music friend,
many of you know that Surfing is my guilty pleasure, and I try to spend as much time as possible somewhere on this planet’s oceans and waves. So when approached by our friends at Surfrider Foundation Germany about becoming a partner for the World Oceans Day FREE screenings of this touching documentary, we jumped on board instantly.
The movie about the albatross itself is filled with horror, tragedy, beauty and love. I was brought to tears while watching.
But at the very same time it ignites the passion to protect what we love with our hands, hearts and minds.
Please do watch this magic piece of reverence for our earth.
When in doubt, paddle out.

Albatross – a love story for our time from the heart of the Pacific.
On one of the remotest islands on Earth, thousands of albatross chicks lie dead on the ground – their bodies are filled with plastic.
Returning to the island over several years, Chris Jordan and his film crew witnessed the cycles of birth, life and death of these magnificent creatures as a multi-layered metaphor for our times. ALBATROSS walks us through the horror and grief of this environmental tragedy, but ultimately brings us to a deeply felt experience of beauty and love for life on Earth.
Stepping outside of traditional documentary film style, ALBATROSS is a powerful visual journey that brings viewers together into a shared experience of reverence and renewal.
Parley for the Oceans and Surfrider Foundation Germany together present a free screening tour of the film and by this continue the charitable spirit of the project – ALBATROSS is given as a gift to the world.
Free Admission for all events. The tour will be provided with welcoming and closing words by Luca from Surfrider Foundation. Come and join us on that powerful visual journey!
